Our sister school Wellington College in Crowthorne pioneered the implementation and teaching of a Wellbeing curriculum in the UK. Wellington College Bangkok is fully committed to delivering a Wellbeing curriculum that allows all students to flourish as individuals in our ever-evolving global social, political and economic landscape.
Our philosophy is simple: instead of focusing on disaster prevention, as so many PSHE courses do, we strive to educate our students on how they might nurture, build and capitalise their skills in order to make the best of their potential.
We take very seriously the events of recent years. Our young people have lived through a global pandemic and its ongoing effects. They have known uncertainty on many levels – and many children the world over have had extended periods of isolation. Our aim as a School is to deal with any ongoing consequences, to allow children to talk about their experiences. We have a School counsellor and a nurturing pastoral and leadership team who will always be there to listen.
We are also committed to the wellbeing of our staff and our extended community. We have introduced initiatives for adults and children within the community and we will develop the programme as we grow in numbers.
