Reopening Campus: Important Changes to Morning Arrival and Afternoon Collection Procedures

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to school. When you come back, dropping your child off in the mornings will be slightly different to how it was before.

Drop-off is from 7:00 am to 7:30 am. Please make sure you arrive on time. There are several new safety checks, and entering the building will take longer. Anybody arriving after 7:45 will not be able to enter.

If queuing is necessary, please use the Social Distancing markers provided. It is vital that safe distance is kept at all times, especially by adults. You can follow the footprints through the arrival procedure.

First, students will pass through the mask checkpoint. Then they will stop to wash their hands with sanitiser.

Then they will continue to follow the footprints to the temperature check. If your child’s temperature is above 37.5 degrees, you will need to wait in this area. The Nurse will check further. If further testing confirms a temperature above 37.5 degrees, you will need to return home and see a doctor. If your child’s temperature is fine, they will enter the school through the Student Gate. Please remember, parents are not allowed to enter the Lobby. This is an important rule that we must follow in order to be allowed to open. Children will now go through the Infrared Temperature Scanner. An adult will help them if needed.

Students then continue along Socially Distanced paths to their classrooms. Teachers are situated along the path. Once inside the building teachers and ALTs will help students prepare for the day. Some parents may be concerned about not coming into the classroom. This is an important safety rule that every International School must follow. If you would like to see your child’s classroom at a safe time, please make an appointment.

Afternoon collection will also be different. As you know, we have to limit the number of adults allowed on site. For safety, we can only allow one adult per child onto the campus at one time. This must be strictly timed. Each year group is allocated a time zone. If you arrive before the start of your time zone, please wait in the car. You will not be admitted to campus before this time. Please follow the footsteps to complete hand washing and temperature check. You’ll be asked for your security pass before gaining entry into the school.

Once inside school please go straight to your pickup location. All areas are set up for social distancing. This must be followed. Please do not adjust furniture or gather in other areas. Groups of adults on site is the biggest risk for spreading the virus, and this must be carefully controlled. When your child’s class arrives, please do not crowd. Use the footprints to queue safely.

Students will be dismissed one at a time. Once students are collected, families must leave immediately by the side gate next to the dining room.

This is an anxious time. But we can work together to make sure that children have a happy and successful return to school. We’re looking forward to seeing you all soon.
