Welcome to this week’s Stars of Wellington where we share a selection of news stories about our students’ accomplishments in their pursuits and endeavours outside of School.
This week, we begin with Dance, and the accomplishments of Cherda, Alisa and Tada who won third prize in the Ensemble Demi - Character (team in pre- competitive) at the Australian Teachers of Dancing International (ATOD) 2023 held in Bangkok with 1,680 participants from 21 nations.
Additionally, at the same competition, Cherda also won second prize in the Classical Ballet Solo (pre competitive part 3).
Congratulations to all of you on your fabulous performances!
In Academics, Hada competed at the International STEM Olympiad 2023 and achieved a bronze medal! Congratulations, Hada on your suburb effort!
Also in Academics, we bring you news of J-Jean’s participation in a number of competitive events in recent weeks. Firstly J-Jean took part in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bag Area Mathematical Olympiad Heat Round 2023 where she was awarded with silver medal in Secondary 2 section. J-Jean also entered the National Academic Test 2022 (NAT) as a representative of Thailand in English-lower secondary level, receiving a bronze award. Lastly, J-Jean joined the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge 2023 also coming away with a Bronze award. Congratulations, J-Jean! You have been incredibly busy recently!
And finally, in Golf, Pai, took part in the PPTV Junior Golf Championship at Phoenix Gold Pattaya on 22-23 April, and came away as the overall winner for the Class B-Girl category. Well done, Pai – outstanding!
