🌟 Week 7: 4 Oct 24  🌟

This week Stars of Wellington is packed with amazing music stars!
First up, let’s celebrate the Sussy Baka Band, who are doing something great for charity. 🎶 

On September 14, 2024, this talented group of Year 4 students performed at Siam Square for a charity busking event to support victims of the Chiang Rai floods. With Riviere and Tisha on vocals, Keane on guitar, Jaoka on keyboard and vocal, Punn on bass, and Tan on drums, they raised an incredible 28,410.31 THB! This generous donation will go to the Fun Dee Fun Den Foundation. We’re so proud of their efforts to help those in need. Keep shining, Sussy Baka!

Now let’s shine the spotlight on another incredible talent, Tara from Year 5! Tara has been achieving impressive awards and we couldn’t be prouder—congratulations, Tara! 

🌟 RSL Voice Thailand Competition: Gold Award  

🌟 Bangkok Youth Singing Competition: Gold Prize  

🌟 CMTG International Piano Competition: First Prize (Invited to London 2025) 

🌟 Prelude Classical International Youth Music Competition: Champion 

Additionally, Tara recently won the Platinum Prize (Piano) at the Thailand Talented Musician Competition 2024 (TTMC) held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center on September 28-29. From 550 contestants, only 63 were chosen to perform at the Gala Concert at Aksra Theatre, and Tara is one of those talented performers! Keep shining, Tara! 
 

Last but not least, we are proud to celebrate Theelyn (Year 5) who has achieved a remarkable honour by being selected for the prestigious “National Outstanding Youth” award! This recognition of her exceptional skills in arts, music, and performance is a significant achievement for Thai youth and was awarded on National Youth Day 2024. It honours young people who exemplify being “Good, Talented, Ethical, Creative, and Contributing to Society.” 

Congratulations, Theelyn! Your accomplishment is a true inspiration to us all!
