Stars of Wellington: 07 March 2025 

Academic 

Congratulations to Ava (Year 8) on earning the Silver Medal in the prestigious American Mathematics Competition (AMC8), a competition for Year 8 and Year 9 students. The AMC is one of the most recognised math contests worldwide and serves as a qualifier for the IMC Math Olympiad. Ava ranked 52nd in Thailand among 329 top students and placed in the 89th percentile globally, out of 79,504 students from 2027 schools. We are incredibly proud of her amazing achievement!


Sport

We are proud to announce Jackfruit (Year 9) exceptional performance at the ITF J30 MAPUTO tournament in Mozambique. At just 13 year-old, Jackfruit became the youngest player in the competition, reaching the quarterfinals in the boys' doubles category. Competing alongside players from 16 countries, his remarkable performance has earned him a spot in the World Tennis Tour Junior Rankings, officially recognised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Following the tournament, Jackfruit was interviewed by Mozambican TV, where his achievements were broadcasted across the country. We are proud of our rising tennis star and excited for his continued success! 🎾🌟


 Emily’s Triumph at the FOBISIA Tennis Invitational 🎾🏆 

We are thrilled to share that Emily (Year 6) had an outstanding weekend at the FOBISIA Tennis Invitational in Hua Hin, where she claimed the championship title, dropping only four games throughout the entire competition! 

Emily's performance in the round robin, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final was truly exceptional, showcasing her talent and determination. 


Nava’s Victory at the SINGHA Junior Central Golf Tournament ⛳️🏆 

We are excited to congratulate Nava (Year 5) on her incredible achievement at the SINGHA Junior Central Golf Tournament held at Uniland Golf Course on last Sunday. Nava claimed 1st place in the D Girl class with an impressive score of -3. 

We are so proud of Nava’s performance and look forward to seeing more of her success on the course!


 🏆A massive congratulations to Music (Year 11), who clinched the WINNER title at the TJGGA Open Championships 2025 held at the stunning Dynasty Golf & Country Club in Nakhon Pathom last weekend! With an incredible score of 73+68+68 (-7), Music not only took the top spot but also earned a well-deserved ranking in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).  
 
This victory is just the beginning—watch out for even more amazing things from Music in the future!


On Saturday 1 March, Gabriel (Year 6) won the bronze medal in the Under 13 class at the Servedee Table Tennis Cup held in Pathum Thani. After a whole day of competition, Gabriel narrowly lost in the semi-finals to the eventual tournament winner.

🎶Congratulations to Theelyn (Year 5) on her Outstanding International Singing Achievements! We are thrilled to celebrate Theelyn's remarkable success in various prestigious international music competitions: 

  • 🏆 First Prize 
    First place (Highest Score) at the 12th Hong Kong Youth Performance Arts Festival and Music Competition 2024 
  • 🥇 Gold Award 
    9th Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards International Music Competition 
    Theelyn has also been invited to the Award Ceremony & Gala Concert in Singapore in April. 
  • 💎 Diamond Award (Highest Honor) 
    B-Dazzled 2024 – Singapore International Festival of Performing Arts  
  • 🏅 Champion 
    Japan Music and Talent Competition 
    Theelyn has successfully advanced to the Final Round in Japan this year! The Champion title is awarded to the highest-scoring performer in each category, with a minimum score of 90 points. 

Congratulations once again to Theelyn! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing all the incredible things you will continue to accomplish.
