We were privileged to host the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Thailand, Mark Garnier MP, on Sunday 5 March 2023 here at Wellington College International School Bangkok. Mr Garnier met with Mr Chris Nicholls, Master, to tour our incredible learning environments and to understand how our students benefit from an exceptional British education.
He also met with Mr Shane Mann and Mr Iain Henderson from Wellington College UK, to discuss plans to host a Festival of Education here in Bangkok later in the year. Shane and Iain are the directors of the Festival and provided a preview of plans. Aimed at educators, this festival provides an unparalleled platform for teachers to learn, grow and connect with other like-minded individuals in the field of education.
With its tagline, “Where those who inspire find their own inspiration,” the festival promises to be a space where educators can share their innovative ideas, participate in insightful discussions, and engage in activities designed to foster creativity and collaboration. As a festival that has gained widespread recognition in the UK, where it was launched by Wellington College the Festival of Education is sure to be a valuable experience for teachers in Thailand looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of education.
