Welcome to this week’s Stars of Wellington, where we celebrate student achievement. This week, we are excited to share some student success stories across academics, music and sport.
We begin with some fantastic news from the Hong Kong International Youth Performance Festival where some of our musicians have been performing. A huge congratulations goes Tasha who achieved 3rd place in her category for piano, Kana who achieved 1st place in her category for Alto Saxophone and Ete who finished 5th in his category for Piano. A brilliant effort all round!
In academics, siblings Jerry and Ava both entered the International Math Challenge (IMC) with Jerry achieving a Gold with a global ranking of 21, and Ava also winning Gold and finishing with a global ranking of 71. A fantastic achievement from both of you, well done!
Furthermore, Mickey finished second in the national round of Future Intelligence Student Olympiad (FISO) for both English Category and Science Category. Well done Mickey, very impressive!
And finally, in Golf, Pai competed in the TGA Eastern Tournament, at Kabin Buri Sport Club (KBSC), picking up the winners trophy for the class C Girl Category. Congratulations, Pai! Superb!
