Welcome to this week's edition of Stars of Wellington, where we shine a spotlight on excellence in music & sport!  


Music  

First up, we have Theelyn (Year 4). Theelyn received an Honoured plaque for Outstanding Art, Culture, and Music recognised by Major General Mom Chao (M.C.) Julajerm Yukol. This prestigious award signifies exceptional talent and dedication, inspiring young achievers nationwide to pursue their passions and strive for recognition. Let's cheer for her incredible achievement!

🎶🌍 A Global Sensation! Alice, Year 5 earns Worldwide Acclaim in Music Excellence at London Young Musician of the Year 2024! She won so many prizes as: 

  • Violinist-Pianist-Vocalist of The Year Award 
  • Annual Maestro All-Round Musician Prize 
  • Fans’ Favourite Award 
  • World Top 50 Musician 2023-2024 

She also proudly secured Gold Prizes in both piano and violin at the Thailand International Youth Classical Music Competition, showcasing her exceptional skill.  

Not only that, she's on tour now and recently invited to a concert where she mesmerised audiences at the '1st Junior Royal’s Concert organised by Rosha Thailand and Rosha Arts Group Korea. Next stop? A concert in July 2024 at Das MuTH - Konzertsaal, Bühne & Programm in Vienna, Austria!

Meet another talented musician! Bravo to Ava (Year 6) for winning first prize in the 20th-century piano category for her age group at the Charleston International Music Competition 2024! This global platform celebrates outstanding musical talent, and Ava's win shines brightly. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!

Sport  

 

🌟 Emily's Tennis Triumph! Over the weekend, Emily (Year 5) showcased her talent at the Tennis 10s Junior Circuit in Bangkok, organised by The Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand. Despite fierce competition, she secured 3rd place in the singles category, facing off against even the #1 ranked player in Thailand. Additionally, in mixed doubles, partnering with another girl, Emily faced the challenge of competing against Thailand's top two ranked male players. Her versatility and resilience are unmatched, demonstrating exceptional skill on the court. Congratulations, Emily, on your outstanding achievements in your tennis journey. Keep up the fantastic work! 🎾
