Staff Whole School

At Wellington College Bangkok, we believe very strongly that it takes a village to raise a child. Every student has a class teacher or a House Tutor who leads their provision – but they are supported by leaders, by ALTs in the classroom and a host of support staff behind the scenes. We value our support staff highly and we know that everything they do is for the benefit of our students – whether they work on Reception, tend to the plants in our gardens or process invoices. There are so many jobs which we don’t see being done every day.

Last week we held a Team Building Day attended by all our support teams – Logistics, Operations, IT, Gardening, Marketing, Admissions, Finance, Admin and more. The Bursar, Peter Church, presented on the importance of each and every role – including the words “If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants” – Isaac Newton.

Activities including Rounders, Table Tennis and Yoga were embraced with a competitive passion! Everyone gained so much from the day – new skills, new friendships and a renewed sense of belonging. We are all ready to support our students once more in Lent Term.
