Stars of Wellington 9 June

Welcome to Stars of Wellington where each week we showcase some of the brilliant achievements our students accomplish in their passions outside of School.

Starting with Academics, siblings Nita (Year 1) and Bonny (Year 3) took part in the recent GCYETS Global English talent show, and we are delighted to learn that both did brilliantly:

- Nita received the Champion Award age 6-7 Years old (for the top scorers in all three competitions of the same age group)

- Bonny received Second Runner Up in the age 8-9 year old category.

The Global Children and Youth English Talent Show promotes English teaching and learning, providing a platform for young English learners to showcase their interest and talent in using language to create, present, and communicate with others. Congratulations Nita and Bonny!

Staying with academics, Mickey (Year 8) has been competing in a number of events over the last few weeks and achieve great success:

• Gold from UKMT (Best in year), math Olympiad
• Silver from SASMO, math Olympiad
• Gold from HIPPO, English Olympiad

Congratulations, Mickey, this is a fantastic set of results!

In Music, Aryn in Reception is developing a real talent for the piano, and in her first competition she was crowned First Place Winner in Young Musicians Category 5-6 years old and was also awarded the Future Virtuoso Award from the Rocky Mountain Competition. Wonderful news, Aryn, well done!

And finally, in Golf, we are delighted to bring you news that Sann (Year 1) achieved 1st Runner up at the TGA Singha Junior Golf Tournament at Kabin Buri Sport Club. Well done, Sann!
