Stars of Wellington 2 June

Welcome to this week's Stars of Wellington, where we celebrate the varied and wonderful achievements of our students in their pursuits outside of School.

Starting with Academics, Allie (Year 2) has gained a fantastic set of results in her recent mathematics competitions:

• Crowned champion at Global Mathematics elite competition 2023 (Gold in Math Olympiad and Silver in Mathematics, overall champion for grade one)
• Gained Silver at Sasmo Singapore & Asian School Math Olympiad 2023, ranking third overall for the country level and ranking 16 for global level.
• Won bronze at the recent Kangaroo Maths Thailand competition (KMT2023)

Superb effort, Allie, congratulations!

In Tennis, congratulations goes to Jackfruit (Year 7) on winning 2nd Place (runner up) in the “PTT - Skill Development Lawn Tennis #3 Central Region Tournament” last week. Jackfruit continues to make waves on the junior tennis circuit and we look forward to hearing news of his next achievement. Great work, Jackfruit!

In Golf, Music was victorious at the TGA -SINGHA Junior Golf Ranking Tournament 2023-2024 (Class AG 15-18 year) at the Dynasty Golf & Country Club (Central Region). Congratulations Music on another great tournament win!

And finally in Music, congratulations to Alice for successfully representing Thailand at the “Grand International Music & Talent Festival 2023” in Malaysia this weekend and winning the following music awards:

Grand International Music & Talent Festival 2023:

- Piano : Top Prize Award, qualified to Final Round

- Violin : Top Prize Award, qualified to Final Round

Asia Pacific International - Book of Record 2023:

- TOP 100 - International Award
