Welcome to this week’s Stars of Wellington, where we celebrate the success of our students as they pursue their passions outside of School.
This week, we start with academics. A number of students have been competing in various Mathematics challenges.
At the Kangaroo Maths Thailand Competition (KMT 2023) Q (Year 6) did very well, achieving a bronze medal. P, also in Year 6 achieved a silver medal, attaining 13th place overall. Latte also from Year 6 competed in the same competition and did brilliantly, gaining a gold medal and ending up ranked in 6th place overall.
Additionally, at the Singapore and Asian Schools Maths Olympiad, Latte also managed to achieve a silver award in this vast competition involving almost 6,000 schools from 39 countries.
A huge well done to all our mathematicians! This rounds off a great week with many of our students also competing at the UKMT and representing Wellington with distinction.
